Hey MKRU, i've found a bug, let me explain. When you read the story of bianca in the diary and once u get vampire power, u can transform into bat but the skin of bianca will not change BUT when u have finished the diary it is mila with the skin of the bat and its impossible to go back to the skin of Mila. My english is not perfect and i hope u will understand what i try to explain. as i can see it is not broking my safe or anything in the game. :)
You’ll get this error if you try and use save data created in a previous version. Either use the included save points or start the game with a fresh save.
I met this bug too. Sorry I'm not an English native speaker so I can't exactly understand you explanation.What means a fresh save or included save？I entered 4.1.1version by an old save and created a new save and entered again by the new save. Still met this bug.
The game comes with 4 saves already made that are at several points during the game (updates and info on title screen for full details). You need to use those or start the game from the beginning. If you use a save created in an older version, it will be missing information from the latest version necessary to run properly.
Oh no...... TAT QAQ 55555 I will cry. I just downloaded complete 4.1.1 windows version and found the 4 saves. But they all seem like are at the former chapter. I have already been HR 22 but the highest level of Mila in the 4 saves is 14. Are there any solutions to rescue the saves in older versions? TAT

Sorry. I add those in to save players time in having to start all over. I do have a dev room with cheats and skips available to all my patrons. That should get you closer to what your original save had. As this game is a work in progress, theres not much else I can offer to restore your save.
Just installed the 4.0.1 android version. Seems to be a bug in the options / audio page. After I adjust the volume level I can't back out of the setting
I got Problem about can't back out from setting and can't open menu while I'm in the game too, from 1st I'm not So sure that cuz my Phone or the game bug but since i saw this comment thank to him, maybe it's not my device, So please try to check this Problem. I’m not sure why that error has occurred for you. I didn’t get an error when testing it. Maybe try placing the game folder in a different window and opening it? That’s worked for me with some older games I’ve had trouble opening.
Hey, I got a (somewhat) small request: Can you give more side quests to main and contract characters. You know, just to have more character interactions and development beyond their initial story. One side quest I remember fondly is helping Bianca to retrieve a missing book. The mission itself is just a simple fetch quest, but I felt good helping out Bianca.
If I were to list the characters that I want to have a side quest, it would be:

Hey, me again. This time, instead of seeking spoilers, I think I'm gonna ask a more sincere-type question: What was your inspiration and motivation for making Crimson Veil?
The inspiration came to me while listening to music at my old job. It was an overnight position without much human interaction so I got to be alone with my thoughts a lot. Mila had been one of my OCs for years at that point and I came up with a rough story in my head to go along with the OST I was listening to at the time. On a whim I decided to check steam and saw that RPG maker MV was having a super sale and decided I would try making an RPG for the hell of it. The intention was to make a short porn RPG with bad endings inspired by Monster Girl Quest, with only 4 story chapters. After I created a patreon and began to receive financial support from the community, I became inspired to expand it with contracts inspired by fan ideas and now it's become far larger than I ever envisioned. Obviously, the main motivation is my commitment to my patrons, but I'm proud of the game I've made so far and now that I'm so close to finishing my original story, I'm more inspired than ever to see!
I can't say how I'll feel that far down the line, but as of now, I plan on continuing to create content after both stories are complete, at least for a bit.
The song you were listening to wouldn't happen to be "Life After Life", from the Dracula Musical would it? I was listening to it back in October and couldn't help but think your Vampire Route was inspired by it.
Hey, how are you doing? Hope you are doing great. I haven't downloaded the 4.1 version yet and waiting for it to be available for everyone. But even though it would be free at that point, I'm still gonna drop money for it including my idea.
Anyway, there's something I want to ask. What's Jessica's boss fight like? You don't have to be super spoiler-y. I'm just curious if you gave her any unique attacks or strategies? If nothing else, I want to know what's Jessica's and Mila's dialogue when Mila is at half and low health.
I read her boss fight section and how she fights... and that is exactly how I see her fight. Kudos.
I also read "The Rocky Relationship" section and see all the times and places that you meet Jessica. I... don't particularly like how you have to run back to find her during certain and important plot moments. Sort of breaks the tension and the immersion. Then again, I could do that from the start and it would be like my 3rd/4th playthrough of the game.
Finally made an account to just tell you your doing an amazing job :) joined this form back in 2.0 for kinks but kept following and check the weekly updates becouse your doing great on this keep it up and happy new years :)
Just asking this out of curiosity but what would happen if Vampire Mira and Human Mira were to meet up. (Kind of like a bonus end game content where Mira is forced to face her Vampire self in a battle.)

It's just that I am eagerly waiting for the next update and play the side questing involving Jessica. I would understand if you want to keep it a secret and don't want to spoil it. I just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Is the main story considered complete now? Just finished chapter 4 (hunter route); there was no obvious resolution, but it also seems like it might not be possible to develop the story any further.
While on the subject of chapters, is it possible to have a chapter 0 or a prologue in the future. I don't think chapter 1 does a good enough job to explain the world we're suddenly in. I'd even be happy with an introduction slideshow that said something like: "This world has vampires and monsters running about. Rinaldo was a legendary vampire hunter the killed the vampire queen. He's now deceased and vampire hunting organization is being led by his two daughters."
Where in the middle of waiting for the next update and waiting for new content to be added. And to MKRU; thank you for your hard work but our entertainment isn't more important than your health and I hope for your full recovery.

Hey, this is a question that nobody else asked and even I didn't think about it for the longest time: What's Mila's sex? Is she straight, bisexual, a lesbian, or something else?
Her diary did say that she fantasizes about being wooed and turned by a vampire guy and there are some scenes where she happily has sex with (vampire) guys. But there's more than enough girl-on-girl to make you think Mila is gay.
I think what confuses me is that when anybody becomes a vampire/monster, they became mesmerized by the person who turned them. So, even if Mila is straight, she'd be gay/bi if she gets turned by a female vampire.
I'm sort of asking this for any idea contests you might have in the future.
I don’t want to specifically define her sexual orientation. It limits writing scenes with her. Additionally, keeping it loose allows the player to project what they want on her.
Ok, you sort of dodged the question... but I'm fine with that. I guess my headcanon is that Mila is bisexual: she fancies men, but wouldn't mind the right (or wrong) woman.
And by the by; the scene that inspired me to ask the question was when the Match Maker (from the "Tragic Bride" contract) tries to hook Mila up with one of his clients, Mila points out that almost all of them are women.

The monsters and vampires were high-quality and the skills were top notch. Keep up the good work.
Bug/Glitch Alert (hope I can explain this properly): I downloaded the latest version for Windows. I started with the pre-existing save files (the one before Chapter 4). Whenever I go to the temple with the Rotten Grove (before and after obtaining the golden key), I couldn't enter any of the locked rooms. I can go nearly anywhere else in the temple; the pool, the gardens, the underground maze, and the treasure/trap room. The only other room I couldn't enter was the boss room of the temple, but I'm not sure if that room closes after the mission in the area.
I also couldn't find any of the small keys in the area. I couldn't find it in the pool, the (non-toxic) garden, or the 1st room with the piano where I was supposed to get the key. I manage almost every other room in the game by repeating the steps to get them open normally, except for the ones in the Rotten Grove's Temple.
Hey, this might be a question that has to be answered with a spoiler, but will there be a "doppelganger boss" in the game? I.E: Will Mila fight a vampire version of herself in a later chapter or side quest? I also wonder if that is the case, then maybe Vampire Mila will also fight a past version in the Vampire Route?
I love the game so far but it seems like there's no point to saving, if I mess up, I can't continue from my last save. I was near the end of chapter two, made a wrong choice with Iris and now the only option I have is to start from all the back in the beginning.
Are you playing on Mac by any chance? I’ve had mac users tell me that they are unable to save. It seems to be a permissions issue that prevents the OS from allowing certain programs to create files. My game has an autosave system, so dying shouldn’t set you back too far.
There are sites distributing my game without my permission as a browser version. This version is not officially supported and for some reason, the save feature is broken. I’ve had complaints of this emailed to me before. Please download the official version found on here. I can assure you that saving does indeed work.

This is a really neat and in-depth suggestions list. I may take inspiration for some of the skills suggested. To the point of other weapons, I’ve tied a lot of story dialogue to Mila’s whip being her weapon of choice, so weapon variety isn’t a thing I plan on adding in the future. The healing circle idea is something I decided to add exclusively to the vampire route, because the two routes’ designs are pretty different. As of now there isnt an effective way of restoring health or SP, so the healing circles became a necessity.
I downloaded the new version 4.0.1 and wanted to ask whether it is possible to change the memory status from version 3.3.1 to version 4.0.1 and use it?
There is an item in the chapter 4 dungeon called the Skeleton Lexicon that opens all gold chests in the game. Check out my walkthrough for full details on anything else you need to know!
I have a question. I'm done with the quest of the blood temple except for the house key, I don't know where it fits. There is also a chamber with lots of gold chests. How can I open it?
For the house keys, examine the item itself and it will tell you the house that they belong to. It's in Abelleth Village. The gold chests require an item found in Chapter 4. Chapter 4 requires version 4.0 which is currently available to my patrons.

The story, side quest, graphics, pictures, music, etc. is just plain good. I also try to unlock all evil endings so that I get the great pictures. Keep it up :D
The very end of the Cleansing the Cathedral contract seems to be bugged. When you exit the little chapel after fighting the boss, and the man asks you about what happened in the church, there's a "copy" of him already over by the alter. When the "real one" heads over to the alter to pray, he walks up behind the copy, stops, and then disappears. If you talk to the one at the alter, he just says, "safe travels to you, hunter," instead of giving you the Felix Laurel. From what I've seen so far, there's nowhere to buy them, as they aren't in the flower shop, so this is essentially a permanent loss of 4 Luck.
Hey, you know how you can have the lady in the second floor apartment become a succubus. Is there any way to set it where if u made her a succubus she would show in the vampire part 4 story still in her apartment entertaining guest. Just a question.

Hey, I have a few ideas for your game. They're not major, plot-altering twists and you don't have to do them if you don't want to. They are just an idea for a sidequest and another about a mystic temple. Just something I thought might be interesting, cool, and... sexy
I want to ask some questions that have stuck in my mind (maybe I'm thinking too much)
1) Is there a "rat" on both sides of the story?
2)Did we already met Faye master at the game?
3) Will we get the famous Star Wars sentence as a surprise?
4) Is the game revolving around “family business”? Because I am 99% sure if my idea about the previous question is correct, then we will be up to something "interesting"
I played it all but you are trying to avoid my questions because they are all clear questions that indicate some things about the "depth" of the game and maybe it could be an inspiration to turn the game on a more interesting track
But if possible can you answer the questions with “yes or no” please
If he answered those, they would spoil the rest of the game, so he can't, that's why he answered that you'll need to play to find out, since he doesn't want to spoil the game.
But I'm fairly certain that Ashe is Mila's mother, and that Ashe is like Half Vampire/Half Human (the cloaked woman is Ashe's human half I think, and the personality shifts a bit between forms)
it’s just personal preference. It’s usually better to drain them for the exp, but if you want to make them all vampires, remember that you can always train with Ophelia or Bianca (if you have her) to recover the exp you missed out on.

No, it was the Castlevania Curse of Darkness OST. I never originally planned for a vampire route in the game.

Bug/Glitch Alert (hope I can explain this properly): I downloaded the latest version for Windows. I started with the pre-existing save files (the one before Chapter 4). Whenever I go to the temple with the Rotten Grove (before and after obtaining the golden key), I couldn't enter any of the locked rooms. I can go nearly anywhere else in the temple; the pool, the gardens, the underground maze, and the treasure/trap room. The only other room I couldn't enter was the boss room of the temple, but I'm not sure if that room closes after the mission in the area.
I also couldn't find any of the small keys in the area. I couldn't find it in the pool, the (non-toxic) garden, or the 1st room with the piano where I was supposed to get the key. I manage almost every other room in the game by repeating the steps to get them open normally, except for the ones in the Rotten Grove's Temple.

Hey, this might be a question that has to be answered with a spoiler, but will there be a "doppelganger boss" in the game? I.E: Will Mila fight a vampire version of herself in a later chapter or side quest? I also wonder if that is the case, then maybe Vampire Mila will also fight a past version in the Vampire Route?
Theres nothing like that in the game, however one of the bad endings in the game has a vampire Mila as an enemy you battle.
Like you said, there is a lot going on in the heat of that moment. Rest assured, more will be explained in the following updates.
I love the game so far but it seems like there's no point to saving, if I mess up, I can't continue from my last save. I was near the end of chapter two, made a wrong choice with Iris and now the only option I have is to start from all the back in the beginning.
Are you playing on Mac by any chance? I’ve had mac users tell me that they are unable to save. It seems to be a permissions issue that prevents the OS from allowing certain programs to create files. My game has an autosave system, so dying shouldn’t set you back too far.
I'm playing the game through my browser on a chromebook.
There are sites distributing my game without my permission as a browser version. This version is not officially supported and for some reason, the save feature is broken. I’ve had complaints of this emailed to me before. Please download the official version found on here. I can assure you that saving does indeed work.

You dont unlock the pictures in the gallery by watching the bad ending. You unlock them by completing quests and the story.

This is a really neat and in-depth suggestions list. I may take inspiration for some of the skills suggested. To the point of other weapons, I’ve tied a lot of story dialogue to Mila’s whip being her weapon of choice, so weapon variety isn’t a thing I plan on adding in the future. The healing circle idea is something I decided to add exclusively to the vampire route, because the two routes’ designs are pretty different. As of now there isnt an effective way of restoring health or SP, so the healing circles became a necessity.

There will be compatibility problems if you do that, since many things were changed behind the scenes. You are best off using the included save files.

There is an item in the chapter 4 dungeon called the Skeleton Lexicon that opens all gold chests in the game. Check out my walkthrough for full details on anything else you need to know!

I have a question. I'm done with the quest of the blood temple except for the house key, I don't know where it fits. There is also a chamber with lots of gold chests. How can I open it?
For the house keys, examine the item itself and it will tell you the house that they belong to. It's in Abelleth Village. The gold chests require an item found in Chapter 4. Chapter 4 requires version 4.0 which is currently available to my patrons.

The story, side quest, graphics, pictures, music, etc. is just plain good. I also try to unlock all evil endings so that I get the great pictures. Keep it up :D

The very end of the Cleansing the Cathedral contract seems to be bugged. When you exit the little chapel after fighting the boss, and the man asks you about what happened in the church, there's a "copy" of him already over by the alter. When the "real one" heads over to the alter to pray, he walks up behind the copy, stops, and then disappears. If you talk to the one at the alter, he just says, "safe travels to you, hunter," instead of giving you the Felix Laurel. From what I've seen so far, there's nowhere to buy them, as they aren't in the flower shop, so this is essentially a permanent loss of 4 Luck.

Hey, you know how you can have the lady in the second floor apartment become a succubus. Is there any way to set it where if u made her a succubus she would show in the vampire part 4 story still in her apartment entertaining guest. Just a question.

Hey, I have a few ideas for your game. They're not major, plot-altering twists and you don't have to do them if you don't want to. They are just an idea for a sidequest and another about a mystic temple. Just something I thought might be interesting, cool, and... sexy

I want to ask some questions that have stuck in my mind (maybe I'm thinking too much)
1) Is there a "rat" on both sides of the story?
2)Did we already met Faye master at the game?
3) Will we get the famous Star Wars sentence as a surprise?
4) Is the game revolving around “family business”? Because I am 99% sure if my idea about the previous question is correct, then we will be up to something "interesting"

If he answered those, they would spoil the rest of the game, so he can't, that's why he answered that you'll need to play to find out, since he doesn't want to spoil the game.
But I'm fairly certain that Ashe is Mila's mother, and that Ashe is like Half Vampire/Half Human (the cloaked woman is Ashe's human half I think, and the personality shifts a bit between forms)

Are the Hunters I've turned into vampires useless and a waste of points or is there a function for them that I haven't realized yet?
it’s just personal preference. It’s usually better to drain them for the exp, but if you want to make them all vampires, remember that you can always train with Ophelia or Bianca (if you have her) to recover the exp you missed out on.
