I began writing the scenario for the update this week and I have a skeleton ready for a few of the early scenes. 

I mainly focused on polishing up some older pieces of content in the game. As patrons saw the other day, I posted a preview image for an updated opening scene. The openings of each chapter are getting updated with variations of this illustration as well. With the addition of the new chapter titles I showcased recently, the intro gives a much better first impression of the game as a whole now!

I cleaned up a few of the maps, particularly in Dorian's Manor since that is the hub of the vampire route. You'll notice a few changes to the layout of some rooms.

I'm rebalancing some of the vampire skills to better fit the difficulty curve of the content presented within the added chapter. Abilities are split between Skills and Sorcery. Sorcery will consume SP while many Skills will require a percentage of HP to use. Vampiric health regeneration is relatively high, so I introduced these powerful skills to  provide a risk that I feel keeps battles more strategic and interesting. Their use is worth the cost, just make sure to whip them out at the right time as to not leave yourself in a vulnerable position!

I got plenty done this week, but unfortunately the holiday break ends today and I'll be returning to my day job starting tomorrow. I'm looking to get that final illustration done by the week's end and to continue writing some more scenes. Until next week everyone!
