UPDATE!! 7/18/21

I'm now far enough along with designing this update that I can share a bit more about this chapter's gameplay premise! Without giving too much away, Mila will be put in a precarious situation in which her whip is taken away, leaving her to rely on only her skills and any items she has taken with her up until that point. Still, combat is best avoided until you are able to regain your whip, since your attack power will be reduced substantially. Not only that, but Mila will be stalked be an unstoppable monster during the course of this section. Your best bet is to use stealth!

Indeed, Crimson Veil will have a short stealth section in which avoiding line of sight with enemies is key to survival. You'll need to recognize enemy patterns to get past them without being seen and you'll even need to hide in the shadows of crates or inside of empty wardrobes in the event that you are spotted. I've designed the basic structure of rooms for this stealth section, but designing the enemy AI has been a bit of a challenge for me in the last few weeks. I've finally got a grasp of how it works and can confirm that it will be included in the game. I attempted a stealth section before, in the vampire route, but this time it will be much more elaborate.

One last quick thing being added, a new item! Introducing the Prism Core!

The Prism Core is a rare upgrade found in key locations throughout the game. By consuming one, your LP generation will get a small, but permanent boost! By finding these upgrades, Light Skills will become even more useful in your battle strategies as you will be able to perform more of them in battle! You can find one easily by entering Mayor Sholz's office, which can now be entered after completing chapter 3. Feel free to explore to pick up some neat lore while you're there!

That's all for this week, everyone!

We going Alien Isolation now.

Oh neat a stealth section and prism cores that's a neat idea. Just out of curiosity how is it going on the narrative mode? Hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Thanks, I'm feeling a little stuffy, but otherwise great! Narrative mode is already fully implemented btw.
