WEEKLY UPDATE!! 1/9/22


How's it going everyone? This week, I finished updating the game's walkthrough to 4.1. Have you gotten a chance to view it yet? You can download it now on itch.io or view it through this link.

I also addressed some of the issues that players discovered while playing through the latest version of the game as well as started preproduction on the next update. Speaking of, I would like to give you all a roadmap for the next few updates!

5.0 will be the next version to drop and will be the first half of Crimson Veil's final chapter. This update is expected to drop sometime in April and will include the finalized version of Dorian's boss battle. I'm sorry you have had to wait so long for this, but I purposefully waited until this moment to not only properly scale his difficulty, but also for story reasons that will become apparent once he is defeated. However, Dorian will still be a VERY difficult fight. You should prepare as best you can and complete as many quests as possible to have the tools necessary to defeat him! If you manage to beat him, you can finally claim the mysterious reward from Dealer!

Next will be 5.1 which I hope to release sometime in the summer. This will be the second half of the chapter 5 update and will conclude the story of Crimson Veil. Does this mean that there will be no further updates to human Mila's route? No. The main story I envisioned 3 years ago will be concluding, but after the credits roll, there is still room to add further content. However, because these updates will be releasing back to back, I will not have room to add user submitted contracts for some time. That's all I can share on this for now. 

Finally, 5.2 which I hope to release in Fall, will see the long-waited return of the vampire route! This route is highly anticipated by many, but I want to use this update slot as an opportunity to expand on what is already there. I don't plan on adding story content this update, but I was thinking of side quests similar to contracts in the main route. The vampire route is pretty bare compared to the main route, so I would like to flesh it out perhaps with some help from the community!

Speaking of, I would like to ask the community a question. Crimson Veil has now covered a wide variety of monster girls as enemies. Are there any obvious omissions that aren't in the game yet? One enemy type I would like to add at some point is a gorgon/medusa style enemy. Please let me know what types of monster girls you would like to see in the game and perhaps they will be included somewhere in the game's finale!

Well based purely on more well-known creatures that (based on previous activity) stand a chance on being added. These are the current contenders along with way of possible use (i know the contest is over sorry)

Yuuki Onna

The spirit of women that have died in Blizzards, snowstorms ect ect they tempt people to meet the same end as theirs

this is more contract material or a secret ie the guy that tried to sell you into slavery. if secret then i suggest the Yuuki Onna lure you to an area with a time limit and a safe(ish) area at the end you can enter perhaps the Yukki Onna's old cottage or so with a laurel as the prize for making it. fail to make it in time and well least you won't be cold anymore.

For contract ver. similar but a girl or someone goes missing last seen in that general area and you get the idea 

2 an Arachne (Molag's idea)

this can be a contract for the Forrest with another way to get to it that is not marked ie those bee people

Maybe someone was exploring saw massive webs and got concerned

Molag's idea ill let him think them up


3  Will of the Wisp 

Similar to the Yuuki Onna, Will of the Wisps are spirits but rather than them coming back due to how they died and more the circumstances the person was in ie with very intense regrets (love, grief, sadness and hatred ect).

same contract idea to the yuuki onna just different flavor

I cant wait for the next update, this game is great.

How about an Arachne Girl?  She could be trying to build herself a *Yuri Bondage Harem* and would find Mila to be a perfect addition to it.

Oh, hey, just wondering, will 5.0 or 5.1 have that one ore to get the ultimate whip? The "Sun Ore" or something? The thing that the blacksmith needs for the final upgrade. Or... is it already in the game?

It’s already in the game but there is no way to obtain it yet.

Wai- Wait, WHAT!? If it's in the game, why do you make it unobtainable? It might as well not be in the game then.

Hmm....well I would love to include some kind of Chimera Vampire thing as a uncontrollable monster hybrid that some people were experimenting on. Surprise surprise it couldn't be controlled and it set it's sights on Mira.


And also YES I would love a Gorgon/Medusa type enemy at some point. Maybe base it off Fate's Medusa only WAY WAY more creepier and scarier

3 things

1) The Monster Girl question: Mermaids. I'm honestly surprised that there hasn't been a contract/side-quest yet that revolves around mermaids. Once I arrived at the port for the 1st time, I could see Mila having to chase down a horny sailor who went AWOL for trying to get some mermaid tail.

2) 5.0 will only have 1 half of the last chapter. How would you end it? I assume that there will be a message that says: "Thanks for playing. Plz, wait a little longer so I can finish the ending." But... what would be the scene? Is it before the final dungeon or the final fight? A moment when a character discovers a revelation or when they found their resolve? Or will it end on another cliffhanger like the last chapter?

3) It has always bugged me that don't get anything for beating Dorian early. I would understand the issue with balancing the difficulty if the reward IS that powerful. But my response is like "Yeah, but if the player faced an impossible-to-win boss and still won, why not reward them for doing the impossible." However, since there's apparently a story reason, I guess I can let it side. And besides, since you tackling the issue now, I'm a little late to make that complaint.

Some have been able to beat him, only to be treated to a broken cutscene as nothing is scripted to happen after the battle. I guess the reward is in the feat itself!
