WEEKLY UPDATE!! 4/17/22

Happy Easter! Enjoy your chocolate eggs!

Anyway, so remember when I mentioned back in March that this first half of the update isn't very dialogue heavy?

This week I finished writing probably one of the largest exposition dumps in the game. There's a few juicy revelations revealed and I cannot wait to share them with you all! That being said, I've just about finished all of the writing for this update. The draft will get a couple more passes once I get to scripting the last few scenes. As far as scripting scenes go, I'd say I'm about 70% done.

The last of the new maps I needed to build for this update are also done. The main things that need to get done on my checklist are: balancing enemy encounters, completing ending illustrations, and event scripting the scenes I've already written. Thank you all for your patience! I think I'm seeing the light at the end of this update!

I do want to mention that once I'm done making this update, I want to take a good amount of time to fully test it.  This game has become enormous and with so many moving parts, I need more time to not just proofread my written mistakes, but make sure nothing is broken in the earlier parts of the game. That's one of the main reasons I chose to push this update out to next month. Even with help on the testing side, it's still a lot to go through to make sure all of you experience as few issues as possible.

Last but not least, here is a preview for the Wight Bad Ending Scene with 2 images! It is available to all of my $5 and up patrons, so please check it out if you are curious.

That's all I have to share with you this week. Until next time, everyone!

I've got to say I'm glad to see that you're always working on your game to make it better and better with each update.  Usually when a game "Like This One" has this much quality in it, then it usually means it's also pretty short.  But you've gone the extra miles to make it as massive as a classic Final Fantasy game.

Just the thought of what game you may or may not be planning on making is exciting to think about!  Will you do a game about Demons next time?  Or will it be about Space Aliens?  Maybe next time the player will have party members?

All I know is that whatever you have planned, you'll put 110% into it!

As long as I remain inspired, I’ll always put my all into a project!
