WEEKLY UPDATE!! 6/19/22


This week, I decided that I needed to put the rough draft maps I was creating on paper into a more legible/editable form. As you can see, these are a few of the early areas within the floating castle:

Layout not final

One of the first ideas I had when conceptualizing the game was to make the final dungeon metroidvania-esque. Obviously within the engine of RPG maker, a direct translation isn’t possible. But, there are still multiple ways of getting around this labyrinthian dungeon, with treasures, secrets, and shortcuts to uncover! My aim is to make the exploration of this final area fun, not a chore to slog through to see the end. There's a reason I wanted to leave this content for it's very own update!

There will be multiple, differently themed areas, some with several floors. It can be a challenge to organize such a complex place just on paper (especially with my handwriting), but by laying it out like this, I can easily place the map together in a coherent way. I plan on releasing the full map into the walkthrough as well, so this isn’t just to help me get my bearings! You’ll be getting the benefits of this too!

I'm hoping that you use one of the two tracks I suggested to you before, i'm more than willing to suggest more befitting songs if need be. ^^

Also, i'm looking VERY forward to the "BGM Override" effect being in place for the random enemy encounters in that the dungeon music overrides the usual battle music, really...!  X3
